Welcome to the COPD Clinical Research Network (CCRN) Web site.
Here you’ll find information about the CCRN and its current research
such as the MACRO Study, a clinical trial of antibiotic treatment for COPD.

The COPD Clinical Research Network (CCRN) is a consortium of research
centers throughout the United States established to study new treatments
for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). This network is funded
by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), which is part of
the National Institutes of Health.

The CCRN is currently conducting the
MACRO Study, a clinical trial to determine
the effectiveness of antibiotic treatment
for reducing the number and severity of
COPD exacerbations.
