Welcome to the COPD Clinical Research Network (CCRN) Web site.
Here you'll find information about the CCRN and its current research
such as the STATCOPE Study, a clinical trial of a statin treatment for COPD.

The COPD Clinical Research Network (CCRN) is a consortium of research
centers throughout the United States established to study new treatments
for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). This network is funded
by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI),
which is part of the National Institutes of Health.

The CCRN is currently conducting the STATCOPE Study,
a clinical trial to determine if statins can reduce the
number and severity of COPD exacerbations in patients
who are at risk of these flare-ups.
